Another method of pigeon removal you could consider is gel bird-repellent. To use the gel, you are supposed to apply it on the areas the birds tend to gravitate toward. Pay special attention to surfaces they are fond of when it comes to feeding. The great thing about this gel repellent is that it is non-toxic. Therefore, it will not be hazardous to any kids or animals that may be on your residence. Nevertheless, it is quite noxious to birds. When the pigeons have a whiff or a taste of it, they will opt to stay clear of the areas that have this gel repellent applied on them.

Bird netting

As the name suggests, this is a netting made up of wire mesh. You can get this from your local hardware store. This is a humane way of ensuring that they do not come and nest on your home. All you would have to do is cover the areas that they are attracted to with the wire mesh, and they will not be able to nest there. It is also a convenient method as you could do it on your own without having to call in professional help.

Electrified tracks

This is a more aggressive method of trying to rid your home of pigeons. For this option, you would need a professional to come in and install the tracks plus electrical wiring for you. The tracks will be laid down on areas that these birds use to perch such as rooftops, the ledges around your home and so on. When the bird lands on these tracks, their feet get electrocuted and thus they end up staying away.
